Two weeks ago we had the pleasure of working with photographer Lourdes Cabrera and stylist, designer and model Andrea Pimentel. We were also lucky to count on the help of the shop Gion in Calle Barquillo which lent us antique Japanese kimonos for the shooting.

The result has been this wonderful lookbook and the great experience to work with them. We will repeat it soon…

How would you describe Arrebol MADRID new collection? What has inspired you?

MADRID Arrebol  is inspired by the flirtatious woman, who loves to get dressed differently after work, that seeks to totally transcend her personality and that values the handmade manufacturing. A woman looking for unique pieces, made by hand from the beginning to the end, here in Spain.

Which piece of beatriz palacios’ collection is your favourite one?

Any piece in the new collection of beatriz palacios stands out by its elegant simplicity, something that goes well with the bags of Arrebol MADRID. But if I have to choose and match, these are the two options I propose

• The black Decó bag I would wear with any of the Casablanca collection pieces, but I have chosen the earrings P02_cas.
• The clutch Anuska I think that goes perfectly with the brass earrings P02_met

How would you describe DS’s new collection? What has inspired you?

During the design process what comes to mind is a modern and working woman with a subliminal femininity and an interest in current events and trends but not a slave to them.

We want our shoes to be used at different times of the day and sometimes combining them in different ways depending on the mood and try to create shoes with their own personality. We want that any outfit starts with them and not the other way around
The ’12-’13 AW Collection has very clean cuts and is inspired by the classic post war style in men and women’s footwear. Our aim following the launch of the brand is finding a balance between craft and art in our designs.

Along with the basic colors we have been using season after season such as the natural cowhide leather, brown, black or navy, for this season we propose light colors such as beige or gray stone and bright colors like orange, burgundy or ocher, either in the entire shoe or as contrast details.

We wanted a contrast of textures by combining different materials like velvet, patent leather, cotton or fur. Also we give a big importance to the finish and the little details like the handcrafted saddlers.
And to give greater versatility, some designs have gaiters or removable parts. The concepts that best define the new collection are comfort, timelessness, versatility and quality.

Which piece of beatriz palacios’ collection is your favourite one?

We propose two different looks:

Look 1:   Velvet Heel #1 model in any color combining with the cicada necklace

Look 2: The Semi Heel #1 or #2 model combining with the art deco ring and the black leather and brass necklace.

How would you describe Blossan’s new collection? What has inspired you?

The new collection tries to keep the identity of the brand: the quality of the garments, which are timeless and feminine but there is a difference with the past collections. This is a collection much more sober than before, both in shapes and in colors.
The inspirations are many as always,but I think the most prevalent one in this collection is cinema. The marathon of Mia Farrow’s movies has particularly influenced the work and also it has added a masculine element to the collection.

Which piece of beatriz palacios’ collection is your favourite one?

One of my favorite pieces is a necklace with black glass and a flat brass chain from the Casablanca collection, this piece I would combine with my black dress ‘Tabre’.

How would you describe Isabel Hargoues’s new collection? What were you inspired by while making this collection?

‘Winter Songs’ is the most personal collection I have created up to now. Black colour is the main leader in the collection, and it has been mixed with transparency fabrics adding elegance and sensuality to the garments. I have not given up to the use of original and striking prints though…they have been part of my collections since the beginning.

The collection is very classic lines, although the use of transparencies and prints give a special touch to it

Which piece of beatriz palacios’ collection is your favourite one?

From beatriz palacios’ new collection I’ve been smitten most of all by the horse necklace. If I had to choose one of the items from my own collection  ‘Winter Songs’ to ware with this necklace, I would take the dress called ´Ladybird´.
